Has anyone tried the swype app for the cliq? I just downloaded it, and it works so much better than the stock virtual keyboard when one handed texting. Try it out.

at the time of that post, I was able to get it through the market. It's not available there now however. I think the only way to get it is to download from the internet and install from your SD card.

Just checked last week and its closed. you have to go to swype website to sign up its beta so they only let so many in at a time like skyfire. But you can use Shapewriter in the mean time jsut to get used to it. that you can find in the market.

ive tried slideit, shapewriter, and swype.....in terms of performance slideit is the best but its ugly looking..........swype is very good but can be laggy....nevertheless it can still be found even though its not on the market and the beta is no longer available. it just takes a lot of searching for the .apk, and then its a matter of finding the .apk that is compatible with Android 1.5....i finally found it and i am currently using it

but be warned, it takes up A LOT of storage memory

    recommended sites for .apks:

    mobilerumor.blogspot.com (android specific)
    filecrop.com
    4shared.com
