I used to have Swype on my phone. and since changing ROMS a couple times. I don't have it anymore. I found a download for it. but unfortunately I'm still new to this and I have no clue how to get an APK file on the phone? I tried just going to swype.com and getting the beta trial version but everytime I reboot my phone it turns off and I have to reinstall it.

Get a Dropbox account (free) - then install the Dropbox app on your phone (from Play). In settings go to Applications and tick 'Unknown Sources'. Then upload your apk file to Dropbox. Go to the Dropbox app on your phone and find the apk you uploaded and click on it and it will install.

Always good to have a Dropbox account anyway...
