will the swype apk for the nexus one work on the incredible? TIA

I have no idea if "swype" will work on the Incredible, I'm hoping that it will or soon will...I read somewhere while doing a little research on swype the other week that they've had I believe a limited 'beta' testing for an Android app for it. I also recall listening to an interview with a company official during which he said something to the effect that they prefer to work directly with the OEM's. So in closing I think that we will see that Android app in the future. Swype appears to be the next best thing to text entry and I can easily see it becoming popular not only on phones but the upcoming tablets/slates which would mean Android App should be a lock-in.
