So now that the beta has been released that can only mean a paid version is on its way. So my question is how much would you be willing to pay? How much do think is fair?

Im thinking the max i would pay would be around 8 bucks, being that slideit is priced at the same 8 bucks and i feel its not worth it. swype is much better.

a fair price would be around 5 or 6

Not necessarily, unless they have changed their Business Model to sell as part of OEM software within certain phones.....

$2.99 and that is as high as I will go.

Anymore than that, and I will just use the stock keyboard and speech-to-text input.

Yesterday my version stopped working. I got a little message saying "Your trial period has ended". What do I do to fix that..... The beta isn't in the Market (at least I couldn't find it).

I received the same message. I decided to uninstall Swype. Until then, I'll use the Android keyboard and wait for the paid version to be released.

Go to this and register, it only takes a minute. Make sure to get rid of you old version, this one is legit and a lot better to me.

OK. So I registered for Swype using the link provided and later received an email from them containing a link to download the software. Upon clicking the link, it directs me to their website. Afterwards I got a message saying, "Sorry! This is not an Android phone." Anyone else get this message?

Nope that seems strange, you are using an android phone correct? I would say try it again.

I'm on my Nexus One the whole time. I've tried it five times now with the same results. Oh well, I'll try again later. Maybe its beyond their office hours. LoL

Are you using the phone's browser or one you downloaded from the market (like dolphin browser). Try a different one and see what happens.

I did the exact opposite. I was having issues downloading it using Dolphin browser so I used the default browser and it worked. I later realized that I had Dolphin set to Desktop for the user agent. Problem solved. Now I'm using swype again. Yeah!

I'm surprised the mods haven't locked this down after swype threatened legal action against modaco for linking to their stuff... ::shrugging::
