Sync contacts from gmail

Hey guys, I am currently downloading 2.1 and wanted to make sure I was able to get all my contacts back. When I go into "contacts" in gmail, everyone shows up. When 2.1 finishes, obviously I will lose everything. Will my contacts automatically show up on my hero once I set up my gmail account on the phone or is there more that I need to do? Thanks!

Once you enter your gmail account information the contacts should be in your phone.

Just make sure that you check the sync boxes for calender, contacts, and mail. If you do that, then it will auto update.

got it, everything worked well. even got my facebook contacts added to my "people" widget. kinda cool i guess...haha
