Anyone know how to get the sync icon in the notification bar to go away. I've done everything. Turned off all email auto pull. Turned off facebook contacts. I can restart and if will go away for a few mins and come back. This all started after 2.2 upgrade.

Did you use Titanium to restore your data?

Ok, do factory reset, and then restore missing apps with data. Make sure you do not restore ALL SYSTEM DATA.

If you use Louncher Pro or ADW, you have an option to back up your homescreens. Very useful feature.

    hi there,

i have tried to do factory settings couple times still no joy. Could you able to help me to get rid off that icon?
This is happened after i followed a link to install honeycomb music player through terminal emulator. So now i have two 'music' icons (yellow and blue) and when i try to launch 'yellow' one. it shows me black screen then goes back to wherever i was. When i try to launch jumpertest does same.
I can not get rid of them neither i can use them. The music players are fine, the most irritating is the 'synch icon' on the toolbar.

    Any help appreciated.

I wouldn't restore apps and data. That data could cause issues. Just restore apps after you reset.

I always restore apps and their data with no issues, just don't restore anything "system" and all should be good.

Yeah. That's what I mean when I say "data" I should have made myself more clear on that.
