Synchronize with Gmail or Yahoo calanders

I'm considering purchasing a Droid and would like to Synchronize with Gmail or Yahoo calanders. Can it be done?

All Android phones sync with GMail, GCal, and your Google Contacts (VERY WELL I MIGHT ADD ). Never heard of anyone trying to sync with Yahoo Calendars but maybe theres a workaround.

When you get an android phone, the first thing you have to do is sign into your gmail account. When you've signed in, it begins the process of syncing your gmail, calendar, and contacts to the phone for the first time. Takes about 5 minutes, depending. If you have more than one google account, you'll have to decide which account you want directly connected to the phone.

Thanks, does it constantly keep your calendar syncd between the android calendar and the gcal or only the first time?

the default calendar in all android phones is basically your GCal. when you set up your google account with the phone it auto-syncs your Gmail, contacts, and calendar. to manually sync them you can go to Settings< Accounts & sync< your gmail address. from there you can manually sync Gmail, contacts, and calendar.

you can set it to autosync any changes but i wouldn't since its a battery-drain. i use manual sync from the Accounts & sync screen whenever i add a new event to either calendar.

I've never heard of anyone making that happen, but with Android being open-source, it could actually be possible. But I would give Google Calendar a try; I know i love it.
