When I set up my phone with a new rom and have everything new my Facebook sync's perfect with my contacts and the picture quality is great.

I do not know what happened but all of a sudden my contacts photo quality was really pixilated. I would turn sync off and on and nothing would repair it...even redid all the syncing from facebook app.

    TLDR
My contacts look great and sync'd perfect when I set up my new rom and left sync on...I am nervous to turn sync off to save battery the pics will be pixilated again...is this true?

It may be a little late, but this problem is actually related to Google's sync. This happened to me with my HTC days when I had the HTC Eris and HTC Incredible. What i had to do was create two contacts (1) Google account with all the contact info (no picture) (2) one account with the name and only the picture (high quality), then just link both accounts.

Its a pain, but it works as, you don't lose picture quality.

    Hope that helps.
