Hey there,
So I've been having problems with my S3 syncing bookmarks properly on the default browser and was wondering if anyone else has been experiencing this and/or has found a solution?
When I first got my phone I synced it to my google account and all my bookmarks from chrome were automatically synced to the default browsing app. I recently noticed, however, that the bookmarks I've been saving from my phone have not been syncing to chrome (both on my desktop and other devices) like they used to, and the bookmarks I've been saving to chrome from my desktop and other devices haven't been syncing to my phone like they used to.
Apparently this has been going on for a little over a month now without me realizing it. I know the problem isn't chrome itself because the chrome mobile app syncs my bookmarks from my desktop just fine. And while I know the simple solution would be to just switch over to the chrome app and forgo the stock browsing app completely I am reluctant to do so because I simply just don't really like chrome's mobile app all that much and also because that would mean losing access all the bookmarks I have saved thus far in the stock browser since the syncing problem started.
I've spent hours googling furiously trying to find a solution but unfortunately to no avail because the only solution I found was to uncheck and recheck the "sync internet" option under google account settings in system settings, which apparently no longer exists since the latest samsung update (it has now been changed to "sync chrome" and when I tried unchecking, rechecking this, and then syncing it still did not fix the problem).
The only other option I came across was to try clearing the data in the stock browser's settings, but I am afraid that doing this will delete any of the bookmarks that haven't synced.
Has anyone else run into this problem and if so, is there a fix?
