    Hey Guys!
I recently just got my Samsung Continuum rooted and all, and I downloaded the Android SDK for Mac.

I've been thinking about doing some of my own design for the graphics of this phone, and I looked into how to do it. However, the /system directory is read only, which stores all the graphics for the phone.

Is there a terminal command that changed the Permissions of the /system directory to 777?

I tried Root Explorer, but it doesn't work.
    Thanks guys!

Are u talking about theming? If so you have to adb pull framework-res and twframework-res

Once you have them out make a backup so you have stock ones to fall back on

Then unzip them or decompile them edit the files (some changes are XML edits)

    Rezip or recompile them

Then you can put them on the root of ur sdcard....mount the system and copy paste both frameworks in (I forget the adb commands as I'm on my phone ATM)

when using root explorer you have to hit the r/w button at the top of the re screen to change the system from r/o to r/w

Could you find the command for this? I am so close,, I just don't know how to finally get the framework file back into /system/frameworks.

    I tried mv /sdcard/....
    I tried cat /sdcard/... > /system/...

    All permission denied..?

    su

    mount -o rw,remount -t ext3 /dev/block/mmcblk1p21 /system
    cp /sdcard/twframework-res.apk /system/framework
    cp /sdcard/framework-res.apk /system/framework
    mount -o ro,remount -t ext3 /dev/block/mmcblk1p21 /system
    reboot

Personally our fascinates our default rw for some reason but assuming yours isn't that would be the code to put your modded frameworks back in
