    Hi everyone,
    This is my 1st post on here and my problem is...
    My HTC Desire S updated to the latest 2.3.5 software with HTC Sense 3.0 about one month ago.
    Today I got a system update notification and when I tried to install the update, I got a red triangle on top of a phone icon.
    I did the reboot thing (volume up and power key) and re-started my phone.
    Thankfully everything seems ok!
    I then manually checked for an update and my phone is still saying there is one.
    I think I may already have the latest software installed.
    Should I try this update again?

    While waiting for a reply I tried the update again and got the same red triangle icon and had to abort the update and reboot phone again :thinking:

    Look under software info and compare it to what the update says to see if they are the same.

    The software is the same version.
    Why is it telling me that an update is available?

    I'm not sure, maybe someone else can shed some light onto it. only thing I can think of is a reset.

    @Bluenoseken

    Is your phone rooted, S-Off'ed or with an 'HTCDev unlocked bootloader'? Generally, you can't update via OTA unless your phone is S-On.

    You can also try a soft reset, Power of phone > Remove battery for 30 seconds > Replace and power on. This might refresh the 'Is my phone up to date?' cache, in case there is any erroneous information in there.

    I was offered, and went ahead with, the upgrade to Sense 3.0 and Android 2.3.5 over a month ago. Since then it has offered it to me at least three times. No idea why, but I've just dismissed the notification each time...
