I would like to change the bootup image on my LG G2 from that T Mobile logo to a picture of my kid. How can I do that?

Also, how do I change that tone to a sound of my choice?

You can't. Unless it is a custom rom.

Should be able to do it on rooted stock. Look in the root section for your phone.

The All Things Root forum. You have to root your phone to change those.

Use Root Explorer or similar root enabled file explorer and goto /system/media. You can change the boot animation and shutdown animation there. Either move the associated zips (bootanimation and/or shutdownanimation) or delete them and replace with those of your choosing. Rename the new ones to the same file name as the stock ones.
    KOLIO and bberryhill0 like this.
