Since the actualization of my android version to 4.4.2 I am no longer able to save any new contacts on my phone.

I save them and they remain for a fee minutes and both, the number and name or other info is deleted.

I don't want to reset the phone (this what HTC has told me to do) because I have lots of music and pictures and paid apps.

Is there a way to get this fixed without a reset?!

Hello and welcome to the forums . sounds like the Google sync may have a red flag . check the Google account sync . if it has a red flag settle the red flag and try to sync the new numbers

Thank you for the response... So I went to "account & sync", and then checked the Google account and thee sun arrows are green... Am I missing something? Or any other suggestions as to how to fix it?

Much appreciated

So that is no not rooted only thing is to reset the Google framework app and reset the contacts app . also make sure your play service app is updated .

Sounds good... I'll see if I can find how to do that in YouTube. Thanks a million for all your help

I have the exact same problem with saving contacts on my Nexus 4, and yes there seems to be a problem with google contacts sync. What should I do now? I'm having this problem for a while now and reset factory didn't fix it.
