    hey guys

i have a friend wanting to root his S4 but he doesnt know how to go about it and i used to root phones like crazy, but it seems like the rooting process has changed in the 3 years that i have been away from doing roots.

would anybody be willing to help?

hes also wanting to get a root for his sony xperia and i know this is the samsung section but i might as well try to kill two birds with one stone.

    id appreciate any help possible.

I don't have the devices just yet. Totally forgot about all that. I should be getting the phones soon to work on them just decided to get a head start on the process of what I would need.

Yeah so go into download mode. You'll have to Odin the firmware tar. It's in that thread.
