T-mobile Samsung S5 flash/unlock for Metro

Is it possible to flash a T-mobile Samsung S5 to work with Metro PCS? If so what are the PROS and CONS if any. Thanks in advance

Step one: check the phones imie on swappa

Step two: if it comes back clear remove T-Mobile sim if it has it, if not skip this step.

Step three: put in metro PCs sim card.

Step four: dial *228 or metro full number.

Step five: Follow the metro rep's instructions.

On the gsm network flashing phones isn't a thing. The metro s5 and T-Mobile s5 are the same phones with sightly different apps. The only thing I think might give you issues may be the apns. But they are in the thread stickied at the start of the forum dedicated to byod. Anymore questions could be answered there.

The tmobile account app or visual voicemail wont work but really no need to remove them. Just turn em off and download metros visual voicemail and my account apps.

I'm currently using my old S4 from metro, my wife and I wanted to swap phones cause the S5 is slightly too big for her. Anyways I have a sim inside of the S4, is that the sim you're referring to or is it the sim that I would need to purchase from Metro? Thanks again in advance.

If she is on T-Mobile , you have to have your s4 unlocked first., then swap sims. The s4 on T-Mobile will just work no calls to T-Mobile needed where you would have to pair imie with metro with the s5

Tmobile phones do not have to be unlocked to be used on metro pcs. Metro pcs phones do have to be unlocked to be used on tmobile though. So to use a metro s4 on tmobile it needs to be unlocked. But a tmobile s5 on metro does not need to be unlocked. Confusing yes. Stupid yes.
