T-Mobile's HTC Desire Competition Winners Video

    He seems pretty impressed with it. Looks like it doesnt have the red ring round the camera, which could mean that it doesn't have docking pins.

    Anybody notice that this says no text to speech or voice search. :thinking:

    Please tell me this isn't the case. Not a deal breaker, but this would be really nice to have...

    I am sure that they will have the voice options on it as its stil running 2.1.

    That's what I am hoping. Guess we will just need to wait till Saturday to find out.

    Do you think it is worth contacting T-Mobile to ask?

    I posted a while back in another thread that HTC emailed me back saying there is no speech text or voice search on the Desire.
    There must be an app that enables it though, yea ?

    I'm not sure I understand this. AFAIK this is supposed to be part of Android 2.1?

    I did read on the competition winners review a few threads back that the chap who had the early version did not have text to speech and that it didn't have the standard Android keyboard with the mic icon.

    If not, does anyone know if this can be re-enabled in some way? This is one of the main attractions for me with the Desire, the loss of the docking contacts is also a bit of a blow.

    Can anyone else with 2.1 confirm or deny for their devices?
