Tablet won't turn on amongst other problems

It started of by not working with multiple chargers. Then, it ran out of battery and wouldn't turn back on again. After a year, it started working again, but I cannot remember the password, and there is no option to recover it, even though I have tried almost 100 times now. Then again, it stopped turning on when it ran out of battery. There are important files on it that I need to recover, and some help would be nice. Plz help me

Could be the battery is finished and need replacing, especially given that it's a 2013 device. You didn't use it for a year, long term deep discharge can be bad for the battery, and so may well be the problem with it
