Hi and welcome to Android Forums!
Tabbed browsing in the internet browser allows you to have multiple web pages open at the same time, in different tabs along the top of the browser screen. It's very handy, since you don't have to leave one site to open another one.
To open another tab, there is a small + tab to the right of the open ones. On some devices, you may have to press the Menu button and select NEW TAB. Tap it once and a new browser tab opens with your chosen home page loaded. You can navigate anywhere you want without affecting the other tabs.
To close a specific tab, there is an X on the right edge of each open tab. Tap the X once and that tab closes, leaving all other tabs undisturbed.
I hope this helps!
It’s great to have you here
