Root Taken phone in for service while rooted?

I used to take my TP and TP2 in unlocked for service all the time. Has anyone taken their phone in for service while rooted?

You should always unroot before taking your phone in. Whether or not they'll actually check depends on what exactly you need fixed. Personally, I'd rather be safe than sorry. All you need to do is back up everything with titanium backup, or make a nandroid backup (unless you think you won't get the same phone back), then follow these steps:

If you already knew these steps and were just asking if you should or not, my simple answer would be yes, unroot first. It's easy enough to reroot and restore everything.
