    Anyone done this and found the best way? 02's rates for far away (eg Asia) crazy ... over

    You guys got it, apndroid to avoid data cost + using fring on wifi. But if you need to call "normal numbers" when you're abroad like I do, I will add Google Voice + Sipdroid to the mix. The voice quality is quite good if your wifi reception is strong.

    it includes skype accounts and you can use wifi for free skype calls to your contacts ...
    (oops didn't see bogers post)

    Thanks guys for flagging fring up for me ... just what I was after :cool:

    Whats the best emergency-recharging approach (eg on a plane and I just juiced the battery frmo watching too many vids :D)?
