will the casssetes they sell with the 3.5 mm adpater at the end work on the droid? The one I got i got it with my iphone, but since then it hasnt worked on any phone.. I should I just try a new one? I dont have an aux in on my stereo.. I rock out the tape deck

  2. They don't really discriminate as long as the plug fits the jack. There's no real reason for it to not work with any music player unless the cassette is broken.

I use one in my car (which unfortunately got stuck recently and has been rendered unusable) and I've never had an issue with anything I've plugged in. It's probably worth noting that most phones have smaller headset jacks, but the Droid has a 3.5 inch jack, so you should be fine.

Think it's time to invest in a new head unit.

It should probably work. My old Treo 650 was very finicky about that stuff, but my Droid has worked with the inputs that my Treo didn't.
