Help Tapping on phone number not working

New forum user here. I've search the web and this forum but didn't find the solution.

I've got the Droid X and when I first bought it I could tap on a phone number from the Internet, or when I look up a place in Maps I could tap "Dial" and it would take me to the dialer and automatically put the phone number in. I updated to the latest android version and now when I tap a number it takes me to the dialer but just has the last number I dialed.

I'm assuming this is obvious, but I've tried restarting the phone.

Suggestions?

Did you figure out this problem. I have the same issue. I have reset the web browser setting as well as the dialer but not luck.

I did but can't remember exactly what worked. There is a setting for international dial support and I think that was what did it. I've since done a factory reset on the phone. I hope you figure it out.

Credit to user Mapiualuta: uninstall your Google Maps updates and then reinstall them. It's worth a try but doesn't seem to succeed on my phone. I get brief success when I reboot but it fails again after several hours or a day.
