Task/App Killer/Manager...

Hi,

I'm looking for a Task/App Killer/Manager but that behaves in a certain way.

Not sure if one exists that does this, but I want one that does not stay resident - i.e., one that does not keep running all the time in the background.

I want to be able to run the task killer/manager app, just force any apps I have been using but no longer need running at that point to close. Then, I want to be able to stop the task manager.

I don't want it running in the background. It would be great also if it did not start when the phone boots up.

Does anyone know of a task killer/manager that will behave like this?

BTW, is there anyway to control what's loaded to run when the phone boots? (HTC Desire S)
