    Just looking for confirmation here. It appears that tasker on the Samsung S3 is not able to see any notifications from Gmail. I've reduced the rules down to
    Notification->Gmail popup
    and still can not get it to trigger.

    If anyone has a profile that does anything at all when Gmail gets an email on a Galaxy S3, please let me know what voodoo you used to make it work.

    Where is the Notification context? I can't find it.

    Short hand for
    Notification
    Gmail (app)
    Action: popup (show an alert)

    so, if tasker ever trips the rule, a popup should appear on the screen.

    It never does.

    Odd, it works on my Incredible 4G.

    Event: Notification [ Owner Application:Gmail Title:* ]
    Enter: Anon (11)
    A1: Popup [ Title: Text:%EFROM Background Image: Layout:popup Timeout (Seconds):5 Show Over Keyguard:On ]

    %EFROM didn't populate.
