Help Tasker doesnt work unless...

Tasker does not seem to function unless I use the motorola control panel and turn on bluetooth, wifi, and gps. If I shut these off via the control panel then tasker does not turn them on at the appointed times and events.

Which begs the question, is tasker REALLY turning them off? or are the icons just going away in the notification bar (because they still show as on in the control panel widget)

Has anyone else noticed this issue?

Running into similar issues. After all the hype surrounding tasker, I downloaded it to give it a whirl.

Tried setting it up so that GPS would turn on when I launched the Motorola camera and camcorder applications. It should be noted I used This method and the lifehacker method, both gave the same results.

Sometimes the camera applications show my location, but other times they say to "enable location in settings". Seems like it's a crap-shoot. No GPS icon in the notification bar either way. Also sometimes upon exit it turns off GPS other times it doesn't.

Would love to get this working as Tasker seems like a great program.

What are you trying to do? If you give more detailed information about the context you're creating I might be able to help. I for one have had limited success with using GPS location based stuff, and sometimes the wifi_near stuff can be quirky too. It's also possible to step on your own toes in Tasker, for example if you turn off wifi and tasker is supposed to do something when it's within range of a wifi network, obviously that won't work.

Try making a post on Tasker's forum. The developer responded to my post within an hour.
