    Hi all,

I am now a proud owner of an android powered device , the HTC Tattoo.

The experience so far was great.
However i have 2 small issue, hopefully someone here can enlighten me.

I am not able to view jpg images in webpages using the native browser.
This is very strange even my old nokia E71 is able to and it is running on symbian:thinking:.

Is there any setting i need to tweak for this?

I thought HTC claim the sense UI are able to run flash videos but i am not able to play the flash videos for the few site i tested:(.

Anyway help on this will be greatly appreciated

    1. Download the Forums for Android™ app!

    1. My browser views jpgs fine, so I'm surprised at this. What website are you trying to look at?
    2. There was a discussion about flash somewhere in this forum, but I can't remember what the conclusion was...

My browser {I have a HTC Magic} shows .Jpeg images perfectly fine.

    2) The HTC Tattoo currently does not support Flash , The HTC Hero {which simply runs Sense ui on the home screen} does support flash in the Browser though. An update in the First quarter of 2010 is expected to be distributed to Android handsets to support flash. I can't wait :)

    Hey carl

is that update the 2.0? and is it expected on all handsets inc the tattoo

    Hi their :)

No It is separate I beleive Adobe are releasing the flash Update, Google releases Android , however flash requires version 2.0 {or higher} of android to operate. So Actually in theory it is possible Google may rollout version 2.1/ 2.2 of Android to our Handsets with Flash already in it.

So basically we'll have to wait and see , but what we do know is that it requires 2.0 + to use it.

Their is also currently no list of devices which will support or not , But I think it's safe to say if your device gets 2.0 it will support flash.

In the browser, go to Menu -> Settings. Is "Load images" checked?

Works perfectly fine for me on my HTC Magic :)

Have you tried going to Browser -> Menu -> More -> Settings -> Make sure the Box "Load images" is ticked?

I've found on certain websites that images are cropped or don't show at all if you're zoomed quite far in, so you might also try zooming out a bit too.

for smaller jpg file abt 20kb, the browser is able to display
however bigger jpg file ard 100kb is not display

is there any setting to restrict the data rate transfer or
a maximun size of file to download and display?
