Have new LG Ally and cannot for the life of me figure out how to set speed dial. Boy do I miss it! Love the phone otherwise!

Welcome to the Android Forums!

For speed dial mark your preferred contacts as favorites and then go to the favorites menu in the dialer. You can then just press their name to dial them. Another way to handle speed dial is to go into the market and look at downloading an alternate dialer with speed dial capabilities.
