Help Tech challenged???

Hi guys! At the risk of sounding totally tech challenged, can someone please tell me how to stop ALL notifications on my Galaxy Note 4?
I just want TEXT notifications, but even tho I have turned off all sounds from all of my apps, in all the settings I could, it continues to alert me anyway.

It would help if you would specify which notifications are stil working. Just list the apps.
