Maybe there is a flaw in your code. I was checking out another thread(you never know what you might learn, being a "Nuub" and all) entitled:"Problem Flashing Recovery" and noticed that your code and his were different. larrycl seems to be pretty well DOS savvy. Any way it cant' hurt to check it out. The thread is a little below this one,the last post was on the 17th. Also noticed you renamed your recovery.img to vrecovery.img which I know you have to do when using ROMTools, but haven't seen that done anywhere else. Try # flash_image recovery /sdcard/(then the name of the recovery image, ie:xionia.img or whatever name the image that your using is). You can also read another thread entitled:"Help?" it has more info on the code used in flashing a recovery as well. It's below this one as well.

Andy is right, you reversed some code words

    Correct:
    flash_image recovery /sdcard/NAME_OF_RECOVERY.img

    Incorrect:
    flash_recovery image /sdcard/......

Try downloading Root Toolbox from the market, its free.Rename your recovery img to recovery.img put it in the root of your SD card.
Open the app then click on Advanced, Flash recovery. It worked perfectly on mine.
