Help Terrible wifi since 4.3

I upgraded to Android 4.3 on my S4 last week. Since then it will show my home or work wifi, and show a strong connection, but will either not connect to it or temporarily connect only to disconnect minutes later. I never had this issue before 4.3. Has anyone had similar problems connecting to a trusted network?

I had the same issue...Go into wifi settings and click on Menu, Advance Settings and uncheck the Auto Network Switch....Sounds too easy but believe me, it works....at least it worked for me and I had the same problem. Now everything connects. You'll get an error message in the notification bar saying that it doesn't automatically switch now but just ignore and click "don't remind me again".

Interesting. I am not having any wifi issues. Out of curiosity, I checked my GS4 and that setting is checked. I just left it alone. But maybe that fix will work for the OP.

Even with it checked...I could still connect to my home network and some others too...However, there are several others that I couldn't connect to, including my home wireless media receiver. I called Verizon and they sent me a new phone. In the meantime, I went onto many message boards and found this fix. I looked and mine was checked, so I unchecked it and tried again. It immediately connected and worked great! I checked the phone they sent me (before I sent it right back) and that was not checked and it connected well too.

Long story short, If you have wifi issues, I would try that first.

My WiFi problems are repeatedly described in the "WiFi" thread. This thread describes one of my problems so I'll give your suggestion a try and report how it works after the Christmas holiday. Thanks.

It is good to back up your phone, and factory reset after major os upgrade. Many things change in the software architecture, and often old preference files collide with the new ones. Wifi connectivity is quite common symptom and it almost always, get fixed by factory reset.

Tried it, and unfortunately it has made absolutely no difference in my WiFi connectivity problems. :(
