I want to play yugioh WC 2011 on my DS, but the wifi at my house uses an advanced encryption that DS can't read. When I tether (unrooted, app came with phone) it detects it, connects can do stuff like download extra content and check rankings. But can't connect to another player for a game. I get (from DS) a communication error 86420. Can someone help me?

    Please see:

    http://androidforums.com/bell-mobility-canada/455939-bell-mobilitys-official-tethering-policy.html

Carriers can and will put in things like timing loopbacks to detect tethers and then throttle back traffic accordingly.

If you're on a plan allowing tethering this shouldn't be happening to you. If not, we tend to not discuss things that encroach on violating a contract.

I'm not judging you in any way, just clarifying our policy so you can decide if my idea about the carrier throttling might be correct. In such a case, you're likely at a dead end until getting their help.
