tethering help

    I have the moto Droid and I'm trying to tether via USB. I hook my phone to my laptop and turn on tethering but where do I find my network to connect to. Thanks I'm probably doing it wrong

    Download the app PdaNet .... free. You start it on the phone, hook up the cable, and start it on your laptop ... works great.

    Hello Daisy - glitz has already provided you with what is probably the remedy to your issue, but I thought your question should still be moved to the Droid forums where more users of that device will have a chance to respond. :)

    Another app to look at is easy-tether. Also works great.

    i concur try the paid b/c free will let you tether but will not let you tether for real(it will not allow going to websites

    I think after the trial periods they both allow continued free access to HTTP sites but not https (secure)sites.

    Yes pdanet has proved worthy. It was fast and easy to set up.
