I am having trouble, tethering my Spirit.

On the phone, speed test I get about 4 to 5 mbps down, and 2 mbps up.
When I tether it to the computer through the USB cable, it is extremely slow.
So slow I can only get half the page before it times out, and other pages never load.
Using WiFi tethering, the computer connects to the internet, but all the pages time out.

I am rooted, and I have tried, a half dozen different apps, with the same results. Or they don't work at all.

Using my old Samsung Galaxy 1. worked fine in tethering 3g.

Tried it on a Windows 7, and a XP machine. Now I'm just stumped.

Any Help would be really appreciated.

    Thanks

Moved to the All Things Root forum where it will get more attention from root users.

you can use the built in tethering, go into settings/more/ 4g mobile hotspot, you'll have to change your use agent in your computers web browser.

That is the first thing I tried. Did not work. Rooted, that did not work. Changed use agent that did not work.

I use the new pdanet+ with the foxfi key (so its not limited). Works like a charm. I use it with my xbox 360 (when my cable modem is acting up) and with a desktop/laptop computers.
