I can't open most of the downloads attached to texts on my Galaxy S3. I've never had this problem before with any other phones I've had. Samsung advised me to download an app to assist this but should I be having this problem, and if so which app do I download? I have downloaded a couple but they seem to cover everything else on the phone except texts?

Hi sidneylarkin welcome to AF. :)

You're referring to MMS picture messages, sometimes called multimedia messages? So someone sends you an MMS and you can't open or download it, and this is a new phone and it was OK before? Could be the carrier's APN settings are incorrect or missing.

Hi. Thanks for replying. I've had the phone since May and it's been a problem since then. Didn't take too much notice as I don't get that many. But I had some important ones to open the other night and couldn't. How do I check/alter the APN settings?

Also would depend on your Data Signal strength. For MMS you need a good 4G connection. MMS will not work on Wi-Fi.
