I learned the hard way today about an app called "text flooder" or "sms bomber". In case you have not heard of it, it is an app that will continuously send the same message to the recipient's cell phone as many times as you tell it to. I believe you have the option to also send them all at one time or periodically.
The only solution I found to put a stop to this is to block the person juvenile enough to do something so stupid & annoying. Until he decides to grow up he will stay blocked! But I'm astounded that any of the carriers or the Market would allow such a thing. My phone was completely useless until the messages were done sending or the idiot sending them was blocked.
Does anyone know of any other way to stop this so I don't get it from some other jack@ss in the future? Is there an app for that yet? If not could someone please get to working on one?! :)

Carriers dont allow it. Call your carrier, and have them block that number.

I reported it to the Market. Problem is there are multiple apps like this with different names. Hopefully someone will get this cr@p off the Market soon!!

Reporting it to the Market will do nothing. You need to report it to your carrier so they can block that number. Google isnt going to remove those apps from the Market. Some people actually use them legitimately.
