    Hi everyone,

I have an htc hero with sprint. Recently, I have been facing some issues with not hearing or feeling text messages because I miss the tone or buzz of the phone, even with the max volume on. Is there a setting where I can make the phone repeatedly give me an alert and/or vibrate when I get a text message? I have searched both the sound and display option in the phone settings and the messages settings. Thank you so much for your help.

If you use handcent, an alternative SMS app which is way more customisable than the stock one, you can have it repeat the alert as many times as you want.

By the way, next time do bear in mind that the Sprint Hero has it's own forum :)

As mentioned, Handcent and chompSMS are SMS apps that have that option...but if you want to stick with the stock messaging app, give Missed Reminder from the market a try. I use it to continually alert me of missed calls, but you can also use it for SMS, MMS, and Gmail.
