Help, guys!
So I have two problems. And I have the Motorola Droid on Verizon.
One, my text messages seem to randomly erase themselves. This is probably the fourth time in a month that its happened this month. I'll be using Handcent SMS, and the Messaging app will crash... when I force close it, bam, all my messages are gone.
I have regular backups every day at 6AM using My Backup Pro, but it's still a nuisance to have to keep restoring these all the time. I do have about 3000 text messages in all, but is that overloading the phone?
The second question concerns delivery reports. They used to work fine - I'd get the little green checkmark when my messages were delivered. Ever since Messaging crashed the first time it no longer works. I've played around with settings, both in Messaging and Handcent, but nothing. MMS messages will have the green checkmark, nothing else does. I've tested by sending messages to myself.
For now I've completely removed Handcent SMS, and I'm just using the default messaging app. I still can't get delivery reports (and the box IS checked, btw)...
So if somebody could help, even with the delivery reports, that would be great. This has really been bugging me, it's the only real problem with my Droid.
Also, is there a program that can automatically back up every text message I get, when I get them, to my MicroSD card? I know My Backup Pro can back up *all* messages, but only manually, and I REALLY don't want to run it every time somebody sends me a text. Same with SMS Backup and Restore. But if I somehow automatically back up every text I get (and send) when I get/send them, it would make things a lot easier to fix if they get erased again.
Thanks for the help in advance!
--EDIT--
Oh, and my phone is rooted with the Cyanogen mod ROM, if that helps. I remember reading that Handcent SMS can be buggy with rooted phones, but it works great 99% of the time, so I dunno if that's the cause...
