I have a small but very annoying issue sending texts sometimes...
Basically my office has an intermittent signal so occasionally my connectivity drops. If this happens while I'm trying to send a text the message just sits there with the 'processing' animation (the spinning circle thingy) going constantly - it rarely times out and outright fails, usually just continually tries even when I'm back into a good signal area (I've even left it in a good signal area and checked hours later to find it still trying!).
I've tried going in and out of airplane mode or even turning the phone off and on to try to get it to just fail so I can send again but nothing makes it give up or succeeed.
When it gets into this state the only way out seems to be to delete the message and enter it again.
Am I missing something obvious?
(for info I'm using Handcent, but checking in native message service shows similar effect so don't think thats related)

Cheers
Dave

Sorry for the blatant bump
Anyone got any suggestions of how to either force it into abandoning the attempted send without having to delete the failing message or get it to behave properly and actually send eventually rather than just sit there saying its trying (other messages sent while its in this state work but the one that failed in the first place just sits there constantly busy)?
It happened another couple of times this afternoon and REALLY annoying me now

Thanks
Dave

I'm on T-mobile, and using handcent. I only have issues with MMS when no signal. SMS kicks in as soon as signal back.
