    Hi All,

This forum has saved me from going insane many times now.. but I have searched for an answer to this question but cannot find anything.

I had the usual hastle of my facebook contacts getting in the way so I removed the facebook sync in account settings (it was a pain when trying to send a text message to multiple people) but for some reason I can still see my sim card contacts when sending a text message and I cannot find any options in settings to only view phone contacts. When I look at the contacts settings I only have phone contact selected.

I dont really want to delete the contacts from the sim as there are some numbers that I want to keep on there incase I ever need them again, so if anyone knows another work around that would be great.

People app -> Menu -> View -> Untick

    Will simplify the people app.

Otherwise, using an external messaging client such as Handcent might be the best idea if you want simpler contacts in your messaging app, as far as I can tell, only phone contacts are displayed in it's contact list.

I tried that.. this works fine for contacts, but when I open messages, then select the "ALL" button (top right) it still displays the sim contacts as well as the phone contacts. Maybe just a bug/limitation but it is very annoying.
