I have a Samsung Epic (Galaxy S), when I am in the middle of a call and I receive a text, I can hear the notification ringtone in the background. I've looked through every option to try and fix it, and no luck. Any suggestions?

this is in the wrong forum so if it was in the galaxy forum it may get more views.

Actually... this IS the correct forum as he has an Epic (which is a CDMA Galaxy S variant).

OP - As mentioned above, I also don't think it's possible to turn off. At least, I haven't found a way yet.

No worries! IIRC there are FIVE variations of the Galaxy S available at the moment... kind of makes things a pain, huh!

Tasker could probably do this as there is a phone offhook event (I don't recall its counterpart offhand) that could be used in a context to disable notifications.

I figured out the problem. I did a master reset on the phone. Everything is fine. When I use ANY app to download customized ringtones or notifications, then the problem starts. I've used Ringtones, Mabilo, Myxer and Zedge. Any ideas?
