text question

My old phone was a env2 and would give me the time a message was sent and also received. I have very weak signal at home and it was great when a text would come in late at night. I could tell if it was just sent or if it was from earlier and didn't have signal when it was sent.

I tried to find a setting in the Droid that would tell me this but can't find anything. Anyone have a work around for this?

I am not sure which messenging app you are using, but I don't think you'll be able to do this on the stock SMS app (at least that I could find).

On Handcent, you can adjust this under Settings>Bubble Settings and make sure the check is on Smart Date and Time.

I use Handcent and have that box checked with no change.

Did that and it still only shows the time received.

open handsent, go to menu-settings-retrieve message settings.... uncheck the handsent delivery report, and checked all the others, that will get you what you want.

never mind, this isn't what you want.... not sure that any sms apps will show the time sent... sorry
