Help texting multiple people = mms :(

So I just got my new bionic a few days ago, and I ran into my first problem today. I tried to send the same text to 2 of my friends at once. Mentioned that it was turning the text into an MMS.. never heard of it but i was like whatever. Apparently MMS is used for picture messages, but i wasn't sending any pictures. One of my friends doesn't get MMS so he never got it. Is there a way i can make it not change to MMS?

text message app> menu> message settings> thread group conversations and uncheck it. This will send multiple contact sms messages, but they aren't grouped in your conversations view...rather they are individually sent sms messages, but it still works.

Or try GoSMS or handcentSMS
