I have looking, and cant find anything to answer this So im hoping someone out here can.

Is the Moto Droid suspose to vibrate when you get a text message? Is this something you need an app for or how do you turn it on?
My droid only notifies me if the volume is turn up but when the phone is in vibrate nothing happens

    Thanks

I use handcent and I have a notification ringtone for when I receive a message. I also have activated "also vibrate when notified". I haven't checked it when I have the volume turned down but I know I get the vibrate right before I get the notification tone.

go into your messaging app... press the menu button, click settings, then scroll to the bottom and check the vibrate option
