i am using the textplus app on my data plan instead of having to play for a seperate texting plan all together. i am wondering though, does the data plan kill my battery faster, where as if i were to use the texting instead? it seems like my battery goes a lot quicker whenever i check my texts.

    thanks!

regular texting barely uses any battery because it uses push, and downloads the msg immediately.

unless textplus also uses a form of push like gtalk (very unlikely), it will be eating your battery as long as it runs, and obviously every time you poll or check it.
