My trusty Optimus V just fell out of my hand yesterday as I was shopping. Back & battery flew off (no case). Put it together again, as I've done a couple of other times, and the screen is only showing b/w streaks. I still hear notification alarms but it seems this phone is done for when you compare cost to repair v replacement.
Since Virgin has a sale on the HTC One V I've ordered it and am moving on to Android 4 w/o having to root, better camera and getting the Otterbox case.
