    No.. its an APK posted on a malicious site, but there is no reason
    why it couldnt be put into the market.. or the next variant.

    Wouldnt it be like installing a 3rd party app? ATT doesnt let you install 3rd party apps or can this virus override ATT.

    Many people have side loading enabled on their phones which allows other programs to be installed.

    People need to learn the difference between a "virus" and a "trojan".

    No OS is immune from a trojan, as the weak point exploited is the user, not the OS. Any OS will do whatever it's instructed by the user to do, including running a program named "Free Smilies!" that in actuality sets up a spamming background process.
