Hi, I'm new in the Android community [IMG].
I would need your feedback on an app named iSOS. Basically when you feel you are in danger you press the icon on your phone and it sends texts, sms, fb, twitter to 5 of your contacts (you need to choose them first I guess) + it calls 911 + it says where you are located.
I think it's great but I would like to know first if someone has tried it already?

Lol, yeah but actually I have downloaded it coz for 2 days they give it for free (at the occasion of the Google I/O) and I must say it is pretty well done (I don't see any reason to press it by accident :) ). If anyone is interested here is where I could read it was free: Blog

Joking aside, that is a pretty neat idea. My gf found an ICE app too which works pretty well.

I wouldn't put this on my home screen to avoid pressing it on accident, so if something happened I would have to search through my app list to find it. I think calling 911 would be faster.

Also, the bad thing about automated systems is there are a lot of accidental calls to emergency services. This makes dispatchers tend to take them less seriously. You'd probably get faster response if you simply called.

But as acid pointed out, it would be handy if you can't talk.
