The best GPS offline navigator without 3d acceleration?!

Hi

I'm quite new to the magic world of new smartphones (I come from WM 6.5 )

What's the best navigation solution that comes
- free
- almost off-line (downloads maps and caches in memory for future re-use)
- no 3D hw acceleration

My mobile is a Star A5000 Android 2.2.
I've tried Route66 but.. it needs 3D hw acceleration

Any advice?
