    So.....what is the best RoM.

Could you list your favorite roms and what their features are?

ROMs are very preferential. Asking which is best is like asking which scented candle smells the best... you're going to get a different answer from most everyone.

White Window and Evil Eris are both very popular. I'm running PlainJain currently. When I first rooted, I rooted with PlainJain. I quickly tried several other ROMs, but ended up coming back to PlainJain. EVERYTHING works on this ROM and I like the stock feel.

Of course, these are all my opinions, but:

    - if you are looking for a full Sense based ROM, similar to stock with better performance and even some of the least popular built-in apps removed, the latest Plain Jane or XTRSense 3.1 seem best. Ivan's Official 1.0 is also good but not updated with the latest updates provided in July.

    - If you are looking for a ROM that has great performance, uses the stock HTC bits but not the Sense launcher, XTR 3.0.3 is great, and I've also tried and liked Tainted Tenzo.

    - If you are looking for something without Sense, with stock Android, Eris LightningBolt 2.8 or Droid Does 1.1 are both very good.

I've tried just about everything, including Aloysius, Evil Eris, the Froyo ones (kaos and CELB Froyo, which are both still incomplete), but the four listed above are the ones I like best.

And, you can find 'em all here: Droid Eris Android Development - xda-developers

While EE3.0 isnt the best looking ROM it seems to be the best performing and has the best battery life for me.

I'm loving the layout and the blue theme of Sense-able 3.1. Battery life seems good too. The clock widget is awesome!

for whatever reason when i tried that all downloads failed from the market, and i did all the steps right, i really liked the theme tho, but i had to go back to ee4 bc of that

This is my only gripe also. I'm interested to find a ROM with working MMS right out of the box.

    Froyo's works with MMS.

But I don't have the latest version, I think...

+1 Sense-able was the first ROM after rooting. No change to battery life. I'll eventually try others but there's definitely no rush.
