Happens all the time to various bodies of water in the summer when you have weeks longs stretches of hot weather. The good news is that nowadays public swimming areas are tested daily unlike when I was a kid and swam in that crap.

I was in middle school when I fist went swimming in a pool. It was freaky seeing my feet under the water. I grew up swimming in the muddy creek. I survived.... true, I'm far from normal, but I survived.

The pool was on the left bank in Boston. Cambridge still has beaches.

Massachusetts: Last one out, please be sure the door is locked.

And unlike the Bee Gees song, I'm not going back to Massachusetts.

Every time we have a bad rain down here all the crap from the Tiajauna river pollutes our beaches , we end up having to stay out of the water for about a week after.

I'm in San Diego, it pollutes our Imperial Beach, which is the closet to it.

I did see a news report that California is also under a state of emergency for Covid-19. Things like travel restrictions, large public gatherings banned, etc.
